“Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places-and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind.
But this new vampire is hardly ordinary-and neither is the demon inside of him.”
Another great book in the series. Mercy is a great heroine, if not a little head strong – but then we wouldn’t like her so much if she was a push over. More dangerous entanglements with the vampire world, only this time its no ordinary vampire, he’s demon ridden. Everyone is in danger, not least the werewolves who aren’t as immune to vampire glamour as they thought. For a small coyote, Mercy doesn’t half get herself into some scrapes, but as usual, comes good in the end.
I am frustrated that the romance/sexual tension was ramped up more in this book but still seemed to go nowhere significant. Lord only knows how Adam and Sam are handling it!
Still a great, fast paced action story and well worth a read. I will be signing up for more!
